Pay rate: £24.62 p/h

Start date: ASAP

Temp 3 month contract (will end of December) Knaresborough HG5 0SD

Site based role – Mon - Fri 8am - 4pm

This is a hands-on temporary assignment supporting the safe, efficient and compliant management of our site facilities, infrastructure and support services. You’ll work closely with our Operations and Maintenance teams, taking ownership of day-to-day facilities priorities, coordinating contractors and compliance activities, and helping us maintain high standards across the site.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day facilities operation across the site, ensuring buildings, grounds and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard.
  • Coordinate planned and reactive facilities maintenance and ensure records are accurate and up to date within our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Manage and coordinate service contracts including cleaning, pest control, waste collection, PPE and other site support services.
  • Oversee site assets including access control systems, two-way radios, gas monitors, respiratory protective equipment (RPE), lockers and security passes.
  • Coordinate statutory inspections and compliance activities, including Legionella management, surface water sampling, weather station inspections and site meter monitoring.
  • Coordinate reactive facilities requirements and deliver small improvement projects outside the scope of the Maintenance team.
  • Monitor the condition of buildings, structures, handrails, walkways, cladding and external areas, coordinating repairs where required.
  • Promote excellent housekeeping standards across the site and support Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) compliance.

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Previous experience in Facilities Management or Building Services Management.
  • Experience managing contractors and coordinating maintenance or facilities-related activities.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and environmental compliance.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to quickly prioritise a varied workload.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and computerised maintenance or asset management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • The confidence to build effective working relationships quickly with operational teams, colleagues and external contractors.
